Tally Van Ry, fka Tally Burke, is a Senior Paralegal in the Merit Legal Department.
Her passion for law began 25+ years ago, and she has worked for law firms and companies. Tally has worked for different kinds of companies, from real estate, global logistics, franchising, and a start-up focusing on driver safety. Tally has a bachelor’s degree from Weber State in Criminal Justice with a Paralegal Studies emphasis, and she has served paralegal organizations locally and nationally in many capacities, but she is most proud of serving as Chair of the Paralegal Division of the Utah State Bar. Tally has also taught paralegal studies at Salt Lake Community College and still helps her former students as their mentor. Tally has missed being a part of the USB Paralegal Division Board and wants to help in whatever way she can. Her objective is to leverage her strengths and expertise to accomplish the strategic goals of the Paralegal Division of the Utah State Bar, thereby contributing positively to its continued success. Tally is newly married to Bill and now has two daughters, a son-in-law, and a rambunctious 3-year-old grandson. Tally loves all activities in the outdoors and has a doodle named River. |
