The legal profession is constantly evolving. Give yourself grace, ask questions, and learn from mistakes. Stay curious and never stop growing.
Coryne Lake has been a paralegal for over a decade and graduated from Crestpoint University's National Paralegal College Division, where she was inducted into Lambda Epsilon Chi, the national honor society recognizing outstanding academic achievement in paralegal education. She also earned recognition for achieving perfect scores in Evidence, a course widely regarded as one of the most challenging subjects in the legal curriculum.

Coryne's path to the legal profession was anything but conventional. An unexpected interaction with an attorney led to an opportunity to enter the legal field, where she quickly discovered a passion for the law and a talent for navigating complex legal issues. Since then, she has built a career grounded in curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to providing thoughtful, practical legal solutions.

Throughout her career, Coryne has gained extensive experience in discovery organization, contract drafting, negotiation support, legal operations, case management, and developing solutions that align legal strategy with business objectives. Her experience spans family law, criminal law, civil litigation, employment law, property rights, water rights, personal injury, insurance defense, tribal law, and estate planning, including wills, trusts, and probate. She has also developed experience navigating procedures across state, tribal, and federal courts, including filings and procedural requirements involving matters before the United States Supreme Court.

With an approachable and client-focused communication style, Coryne excels at helping clients understand complex legal matters through clear, straightforward guidance. She is committed to making the legal process more accessible and empowering clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

Dedicated to advancing the paralegal profession, Coryne proudly serves as Co-Chair of the Utah State Bar Paralegal Division Education Committee, where she helps develop educational programs and resources for paralegals across the state. Affectionately known by many as their "Paralegal Mom," she enjoys mentoring aspiring and experienced paralegals alike, sharing practical knowledge, encouraging professional growth, and helping others build confidence in their careers.

Guided by her collaborative approach and practical problem-solving skills, Coryne believes the most effective legal professionals combine technical knowledge with empathy, integrity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
In addition to her work with the Utah State Bar Paralegal Division, Coryne volunteers with Wreaths Across America, Wills for Heroes, and numerous suicide prevention fundraising initiatives.

Outside of the legal profession, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their beloved dogs. She has also recently discovered a love for gardening and enjoys dreaming up creative home projects that continue to grow her husband's ever-expanding honey-do list.
