Utah State Bar Continuing Legal Education Department is committed to helping Utah attorneys meet their Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements by providing high quality live and online programs.
Fast CAse
Each of the more than 11,000 lawyers, judges, and legal professionals who are members of the Utah State Bar will receive complimentary access to one of the largest law libraries in the world. This member benefit provides access to online legal research in Fastcase’s robust database and includes unlimited nationwide legal research, printing, webinar training, and reference support; it is not restricted by time or number of transactions. The service also includes industry-leading mobile app and unlimited live, free customer support from experienced reference attorneys on the Fastcase team.
The new member benefit provides access to Fastcase’s extensive legal library of state and federal caselaw, as well as comprehensive coverage of statutes and regulations, at both the state and federal level. This includes Fastcase’s patented software, which makes legal research smarter and easier, including its Interactive Timeline visualization of search results, “Forecite” to suggest cases researchers may have missed, and Bad Law Bot, the leading algorithmic tool to identify negative case treatment.
After the service launches, members will be able to access Fastcase through the Bar member’s practice portal, where they will be able to log in with their Bar username and password.

Lawyers Helping Lawyers
Lawyers Helping Lawyers (LHL) is committed to rendering confidential assistance to any member of the Utah State Bar whose professional performance is or may be impaired due to a variety of circumstances. These include, but are not limited to, professional or business problems, family struggles, grief, trauma, identity issues, substance abuse or misuse, mental illness, emotional distress, overcoming adversity, harassment, discrimination, and many other issues. Currently LHL matches those whom it assists with one on one volunteer peer mentors and conducts continuing legal education.
Tava
Tava is a free, confidential mental health benefit available to all members and employees of the Utah State Bar and their dependents (age 13-25). The benefit provides up to 6 free sessions annually with licensed clinicians through Tava's secure, web-based technology platform.

Utah Bar Journal
The Utah Bar Journal is published 6 times each year and is received by every attorney, licensed paralegal practitioner, and paralegal division member who maintain an Active, Current, or Inactive-Full Service license with the Utah State Bar. Our current circulation is approximately 10,800 and growing.
